The Hague

The Hague is one of the most special cities of the Netherlands. Not only because it is the seat of the government but also thanks to the many monuments, historical neighbourhoods and the coastal proximity. The city is also called “the city of peace and justice” and royal residential city due to the many members of the Royal Family who live here.

On the squares the Plein and the Grote Markt there is a great choice of  bars and restaurants in which a lot is happening every day of the week. There are all sorts of shops, from luxurious department stores selling world famous trade marks to small streets full of cosy boutiques and gadget stores. Besides all this The Hague also has a great variety of world prestigious art and culture venues.

Next to the city lies Scheveningen, the most popular Dutch beach resort with its beautyful sandy beach. It is a delight to go sunbathing in summer or to have a refreshing walk on the beach in winter.
