Who are we?
We are a modern, contemporary restaurant in Lisse. In addition to Ton and Ellen Freriks, the owners, the team consists of 6 permanent employees. We, Ton and Ellen Freriks, have been running our restaurant since 1999 and the Bed & Breakfast since 2014. Our restaurant, in the center of Lisse, is busy all year round, with a peak in the 2nd quarter, partly due to the flower season and all public holidays. We have 70 seats in the restaurant spread over several rooms, which we can also offer separately for groups. We have a terrace on the square “Het Square” and in our patio garden. An average of 26 employees work in our company. We are currently open for lunch and dinner from Wednesday to Monday from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Our kitchen staff
Chef Peter Rodewijk runs the kitchen together with sous chef Wouter Smit and Anna, both gentlemen who are certified SVH teachers. Every year the kitchen has room for several students (BOL and BBL) and various interns. Stan Baak and Hugo Schrama are currently working as student chefs in our team. We are again looking for one or two students in our kitchen team for September 2024
We train SVH students and interns
Ton and Ellen Freriks are jointly in charge of the restaurant and the service together with Laura, Esther, Sasha and Melanie. Here too, we ask SVH students and interns from the various courses (BBL & BOL) to support Ton, Ellen and their team in 2024.
Our Bed & Breakfast
Ellen also provides our Bed & Breakfast with 4 modern rooms that can be reached via a private entrance above the restaurant. Working hours, for example, Wednesday to Monday from approximately 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM (every week is different). Providing breakfast and cleaning and tidying the rooms and common areas.
